As a pragmatic full stack developer, I like to discover new technologies, understand their internals implementation to leverage them. My motto is "if you don't understand how a framework works, don't use it". I am against the principle of black boxes. With more than 8 years of experience in Java, I've seen many shifts in technology, my thought is that there is no golden hammer and you should always use the right tool for the right job.
I recently took an interest to Cassandra and to the Big Data domain. I developed Achilles, an Entity Manager for Cassandra using the latest java driver available from Datastax. I am also interested by new frameworks for processing massive data in real time like Storm or Spark.
I choose to go Freelance to have more freedom of choice. Choice of customers, of technical challenge but also a finer control on my career path. Freelancing is also a first step into start-up founding adventure, one day ...
